Sidekick Orchestration

AI training for businesses in Vancouver, BC, starting with your leaders.

Make your company fluent in AI, starting with its leaders. Sidekick Orchestration runs hands-on AI training for leaders and teams, with coaching and builds that make it stick.

The short answer. We train your leaders first, in AI Fluency for Leaders. Once they use AI every week and can judge where it fits, we train their teams in AI Fluency for Teams. Training is part of Fractional, Chase's part-time AI leadership for your company, which starts at $6,000 CAD a month.

Vancouver and across Metro Vancouver. Live by video call.

Why your leaders train first.

In our experience, staff follow what their leaders do. When the people who set priorities don't use AI themselves, they can't say which jobs it should do, what stays out of it, or whether a result is good enough to send. Staff then get mixed messages, and the training tends to fade.

So we don't train staff until their leaders are using AI on their own tasks every week. In a typical 90-day Fractional engagement, it runs like this.

  • Month one

Your leaders train in AI Fluency for Leaders and start using AI on their own tasks.
  • Month two

The people others already go to for help join in.
  • Month three

The first teams start AI Fluency for Teams, once their leaders use AI every week.

Two courses, in that order.

First

AI Fluency for Leaders

Who
Owners, executives and managers who make the calls on process and tools
Group size
2 to 6 leaders
Time
12 group hours over 12 weeks, plus 1.5 to 6 hours of one-on-one practice
What they practise
Safe use and your AI policy, briefing AI well, email, documents, research, meetings, checking output, saved instructions, multi-step tasks, planning, and leading their team's adoption
How we know it worked
A 10-question skill check in week 1 and week 12, weekly practice tasks, and a final live task scored on six points

Then

AI Fluency for Teams

Who
Staff in one team, after their leaders have started
Group size
4 to 12 people
Time
Two 90-minute workshops one to two weeks apart, plus one practice task
What they practise
Safe use and your company rules, briefing AI on two tasks from their role, checking output, and saving what works
How we know it worked
A practice task between workshops and a live task scored on five points

Both courses run on the AI tool your company has approved, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot. Every session is practice on tasks from each person's job. No one needs prior AI experience. Sessions are live by video call.

How training fits into Fractional.

Fractional is booked time with Chase each month. You choose how that time splits between training sessions, one-on-one coaching and building the setups your people use. The split never changes the price.

Every engagement has a 90-day minimum, billed monthly, with reviews at day 30 and day 60. When several teams need training at once, a vetted workshop trainer can run some sessions under Sidekick's contract, and you know who before they start.

If you're one leader who wants to start alone, Solo is one-on-one coaching for $1,800 CAD, paid once, over 30 days.

Three sizes of Fractional

  • About 2.5 days a month

    $6,000 CAD a month.

  • About a day a week

    $9,000 CAD a month.

  • About 5 days a month

    $12,000 CAD a month.

When to choose someone else.

  • You want one workshop for staff, and your leaders won't take part. We'll point you to a workshop provider or a program such as the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade's AI Adoption Program.
  • Your team is mostly engineers who already build with AI.
  • No executive will sponsor the work. We don't start Fractional without one.

Questions buyers ask first.

How much does AI training cost for a business in Vancouver?

At Sidekick, training is part of Fractional, from $6,000 CAD a month with a 90-day minimum. For one leader, Solo is $1,800 CAD, paid once. Our guide to choosing an AI consultant shows what other kinds of AI help cost.

Can you train our staff first?

No. Staff training starts once their leaders use AI every week, usually in the second or third month. Leaders who use AI can answer their team's questions and back the new habits. Leaders who don't, can't.

Which AI tools do you train on?

The one your company has approved, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot. We aren't tied to one AI product.

Is the training online or in person?

The courses run live by video call, which suits most groups. Chase works with you in person or online.

How many people can take part?

Leaders train in groups of 2 to 6. Teams train in groups of 4 to 12, one team at a time.

How do we know the training worked?

Leaders take the same 10-question skill check in week 1 and week 12, and finish with a live task from their own role, scored on six points. Teams finish with a scored live task. Fractional also sets baseline measures at the start and reports against them.

What about our client information?

The first module covers which information can go into which AI tool, using your company's AI policy. If you don't have a policy yet, we write one with you first. Chase coaches your people and never logs in to your systems.

Who teaches the courses?

Chase Bernier, founder of Sidekick Orchestration. He teaches only what he already does in his own business, after more than a decade in B2B partnerships and revenue operations at DrugBank, Jobber and DoorDash.
